Doall 36 in single phase bandsaw band saw 5000 fpm

Here is an exteremley nice 36" DoAll band saw. The best. USA of course. The machine is in overall very good condition.
Model 3613-20. Contour. Serial number 399-79112. manufacture date 1979.
What makes this machine different than all the other 36" band saws you are looking at is the fact that it is set up to run on SINGLE PHASE power (220V).
The machine was apparently factory converted from the usual 3 phase motor/piulley set up, to a 3Hp, 180V electronically DC controlled, infinitely variable speed motor.
So, it can be run on SINGLE PHASE (or 3 phase) POWER. Just wire your power cable in as needed.
This conversion simplifies speed selection by eliminating all the hand cranking. Just turn the dial to the speed you want.
All the typical pulleys, belts, and other moving parts and handles that you find inside the older Doalls have been eliminated. This simplificxation makes for a more reliable and maintenance-free tool with less noise.
As you can see in the photo, the motor is a little long to fit the standard back cover, so a hole was cut in the back to allow fitment and cooling of the TEFC motor.
The machine has been repainted gray (and not particularly well), over what was once green and yellow. The green/yellow was a standard color that the government selected in the 1970's and 1980's and is seen on many machine tools of this era from htis location. (This machine came out of a "major" government facility in the mountains of New Mexico. No, it doesn't "glow" :)
The machine can run both bandsaw blades as well as file blades. Blade size is 175" on three wheels. It can also be run with just 2 wheels with a 125" blade.
Speed range is 0 to 5200 Feet Per Minute. It has a two-speed transmission which is operated by a lever on the left side of the saw the saw.
Once high or low is selected, simply turn the variable speed dial (above the table) to whatever speed you need.
Basically you can cut any material from wood to steel to exotic materials given the right speed, feed and blade.
The always-cool dial affixed to the upper blade door gives you suggested speeds and feeds for all manner of materials. The dial itself is in very good/excellent condition.
The saw runs smooth and quiet at any speed.
The welder is a (DoAll) DBW-15 and has the blade shear as you can see.
The machine light was removed.
The saw has a chip blower which uses standard airline from your compressor. It has a regulator inside the machine to set your air pressure. You should only have to go in to the back once to set it, then forget it.
The machine is about six feet wide (including the table) and just under 4 feet deep. Height is about 6 feet. Throat is about 35" with about 13" cutting height.
If you need a saw this size, this is the one you want. It will arrive to you ready to wire in and use immediately. I will tag it inside the electric box for both single and three phase operation to make it a 5 minute job to wire up. And, of course, you can always call me with any questions or assistance after receiving it.
