Tricked out sherline mill-lathe drawbar; use hex wrench
Made of SAE Grade 8 125,000 plus psi tensile case hardened forged steel parts, manufactured in either Canada or the USA, this drawbar is SUPERIOR and EASIER to USE than the standard Sherline supplied drawbar. Most conveniently, you can use the 5/32 inch hex wrench to loosen or tighten the drawbar. This is the wrench that fits most every socket headed capscrew on the Sherline system.
The photo directly above shows the dtricked out drawbar mounted on my own Sherline mill and how convenient it is to use.
The photo below, shows how the standard 5/32" hex wrench fits on the head of the Grade 8 plus cased hardened socket headed cap screw that I was able to permanently lock into the specially drilled and tapped head of the Garde 8 hex headed capscrew which serves as the drawbar. The photo shows how the stepped washer from "your: original Sherline drawbar is assembled with the "O" ring retainer that keeps the washer in place when the drawbar is removed. The 10-32" socket headed capscrew is both torqued to 15 foot pounds and locked permanently in placed with 262 LocTite. Due to the low machinability of the forged and case hardened components, the unit is assembled with a proprietary process with special drills, taps and techniques that took me years to perfect. Still, many tools are quickly worn out or broken in the process.
This sale is for the special NEW assembled drawabar and "o" ring retainer only. No drawbar stepped washer, hex wrench, ruler, Sherline mill, lathe or any other component is supplied The item is guaranteed to perform as described. However, no returns are accepted.
