This powerful phase converter, manufactured in the USA (Escondido, CA) by Convert-A-Phase, Inc., reliably supplied 3 phase power to 2 Haas VF-2 CNC vertical mills as well as a 5 HP air compressor for over a year at our original location that had only single phase service. When we moved to a larger shop with 3 phase service, the phase converter was no longer necessary. It was operating perfectly when it was removed and put into indoor storage in 2009. I originally chose this particular unit because I wanted the best possible equipment available to power and protect my delicate CNC machinery. The Convert-A-Phase unit is not only built using a Baldor drive motor but the entire phase converter has been granted a UL listing, it's not just assembled using UL listed components. This unit is designed to support repeated cycling, long duration starts and instant reversing with no loss in rated motor H.P. You'll need a 3 phase panel and a fused disconnect to complete your installation and DO NOT skimp on the wire size! You will receive the unit exactly as pictured mounted to the small pallet. I have also included 3 cap's to help fine tune your voltage output if necessary.

Be sure to take into account not only the amperage requirement of your equipment but the additional amp requirements while starting. Quality installation is a must! Don't skimp on wire size from your panel to the converter as well as from the converter to your equipment. When in doubt, refer to a professional for safety's sake.
