Iti 600-5260 printer interface 4720 silent knight 5260
TEH BOX SAYS IT IS ITI 600-5260 BUT THE UNIT SAYS SILENT KNIGHT
WE WERE TOLD THE 4720 IS THE SAME AS THE NOPRTHERN COMPUTERS N-750
Allows connection of standard computer type
Housed in a locked, sturdy, wall mountable,
DIP switch selection of options.
Powered from the control panel. No battery or
Out of paper/system trouble annunciated at
IBM/Centronics parallel output.
Date, time and event printed in plain English.
Selectable 300 or 1200 baud rate.
2K buffer on both output ports.
The Silent Knight model 5260 printer interface is
designed to be used with any Silent Knight control
which uses the 12 conductor expansion bus. It
allows models 2820, 5207* and Regency 4000
controls to be connected to standard serial or parallel
computer type printers or to a computer terminal for
viewing. The printer can then monitor the control
and print a running activity record of all system
activity as it occurs. All control activity is printed
regardless of whether the communicator is
programmed to send activity to the central station.
This can reduce the cost of central station monitoring
while still maintaining records of all activity.
The print out will consist of the date, time and event
printed in simple English. Each event will print on
one line for easy user analysis.
The printer interface is supervised via the control
panel expansion bus and will cause the local control
to annunciate trouble in the event the printer is out
Either or both outputs may be used at the same time
and both outputs have separate programming
The 5260 connects to the 2820, 5207, or Regency
4000 controls with a supplied x-bus cable. Parallel
and serial connections are made via standard
connection cables (see specifications).
*NOTE: When using 5260 with 5207 control, earth ground
fault trouble will occur because the 5207 will detect the
grounded power supply of a printer or computer terminal. To
avoid this, the 5207 ground fault detection must be deselected
and Class A Zones cannot be used.
