Black cat emotion expression playing cards (#11)
Listed is a new pack of Black Cat Expression playing cards. Expression playing cards is a game of facial changes, based on the interaction between the eyes and the mouth that reflect our emotions.
The game is for ages eight to adult and is played with three players. Each card has a facial expression and associated words. One player forms the facial expression shown on the card with their face and the other player identifies the emotion by words. The third player is the mediator and has a "secret" listing of appropriate expressions for each of the sixteen expression cards.
The game enhances empathy, the sharing of thoughts and feelings and builds emotional intelligence. Children can have fun watching their friends faces and sharing their feelings and parents, therapists and counselors can use the game with their clients to enhance interaction.
The faces are drawn on eggs to better identify and illustrate the expressions and to eliminate race and gender. The human face is a universal symbolic communication center for our emotions. This set of sixteen expressions provides an emotional mirror to our state of mind. They reflect our pleasure, gratification, enjoyment, happiness, and bliss. They also show our morality, distinguishing between right and wrong and include selfishness, virtue and innocence. There are the sympathetic expressions of hate, jealousy, envy, pity and love. Intellectual faculties such as understanding and reason are also expressed in our emotions.
This expression charting is unique in its origin and was formed as a scientific hybrid of graphic elements by Jim Lehman in the early 1960's.
