500 feet of #12 AWG SIS/XLP stranded tinned copper conductor cable with Yellow 31 mil Cross-linked Polyethylene (XLP) insulation, manufactured by the Rome Cable Corporation, rated for 600 volts and a CEC Ampacity of 20.
The construction of SIS wire is fairly simple to say the least.. It consists usually of a stranded copper conductor that is tin coated with XLP (cross-linked polyethylene) insulation. A note to consider when either selling or installing SIS wire is to determine the stranding needed or preferred. This SIS wire has 7 tinned copper strands and is very flexible.
