I have for sale the EGG SAVER NEST BOX TM for bantams or any chicken under 10".
This box can help reduce the loss of eggs due to cannibalism by chickens.
There's nothing worse than going out to the coop and finding no eggs and a bunch of chickens staring at you with egg yolk all over their faces
Chickens don't normally eat eggs, but once an egg gets broken and they taste it they become addicted to it, and you'll start losing eggs very quickly.
The hen lays her egg in the box and it rolls to the back of unit safely behind a barrier.
These boxes are great in breeding pens where every egg is precious.
I place some of these boxes around my yard for my wild chickens so they have something to lay their eggs in, and in my pens when egg eating is a problem.
The boxes come with a padded insert. No nesting material is needed.
They have debris removal slots to help reduce blockage that can hinder egg movement, but it is important to check the box regularly for any thing that may interfere with the proper functioning of the unit.
There is a pin at the back of the box to lock the lid down.
The dimensions are 9.5"tall X 9" wide X 15.5"deep. Made of #1, 1/2" plywood, 5 ply.
This is a high quality,durable box and should last many years.
If you live in a wet climate the box should be painted.
If you have exhausted every option and your still losing eggs to chickens and predators this may be the solution for you.
I can't guarantee that this box will save every egg, but it can greatly increase your chances of salvaging eggs that would have otherwise been destroyed.
