Esd generator probe
The Bartek Model 800 ESD generator probe is an ideal low-cost tool for the design engineer, test technician, or quality assurance test engineer. This generator is targeted for use in pre-compliance testing used during product development, as well as, quality assurance testing or manufacturing troubleshooting. Although the Model 800 is not intended to be used as a test apparatus for EN 61000-4-2/IEC 61000-4-2 Qualification, it is designed for a quick and simple assessment of ESD susceptibility and ESD trouble-shooting at a very affordable price. Currently ESD generators employed for EN 61000-4-2 testing range from $3400 to $8000. Although these tools are designed to meet all the specified discharge parameters for ESD testing, they are cumbersome and overkill for simple ESD troubleshooting.
