The 71-2412 is very similar to the 71-2410, but differs in that it has a second sphere machined behind the front sphere which has the optical objectives mounted in it. This allows the rear sphere to be mounted in the K&E cup mount, and then rotated 360 degrees with unobstructed views through the alignment telescope on which this is mounted..
