Cardio perfect portable 12-l ecg ekg machine, pc based
Several photos and figures follow the text, below.
This is a fully operational, professional, clinical-type, 12-lead resting ECG/EKG machine and software system that is ready to install and run. It is small, compact, light-weight and very handy, requiring little space to use or store.
It is probably the best ECG recorder and software system available, unless you want to get Welch Allyn's current (and much more expensive) version of it. It runs on laptop or desktop personal computers and prints out with any computer printer using regular paper.
* A physician and CEO of a clinic who previously purchased one of these systems wrote back "I am really looking forward to using this system and retiring my MAC. I would be interested in 2 more units. This system is exceptional, more convenient ... and saves space at the same time."
* An MD wrote after using one for several months: "I bought my cardioperfect from you about a year and a half ago and I love it."
We are making these available for a wide variety of users and applications at a fraction of the cost of a new ECG system.
* Printouts are made on regular computer printer paper. The Cardio Perfect system does not require specialized ECG printer paper.
* The recorder is small, light-weight, handy, takes up little space, and easily stored when not in use.
* In addition to working good in a fixed location, it is perfect for traveling, field, and other portable uses including EMS.
* The included software program
* is extremely flexible and user friendly (one of the most user-friendly ECG systems available),
* has a large selection of options and menus,
* automatically provides all of the basic measurements (P, PQ, QRS, QT/QTc, P/R/T axes, HR, ST, and more, including for all 12 leads in a table of measurements - see figures below),
* aside from the basic measurements, is non-interpretive (non-interpretive is recommended, click here),
* includes an electronic caliper,
* permits computer screen views to be zoomed in or out, permitting close inspection,
* has the ability to overlay and compare current with previous records, or any two or more records simultaneously,
* runs on Windows 2000, XP, Windows 7 with Virtual PC XP Mode, and Macintosh with VMWare Fusion running Windows XP, possibly also on Mac with Bootcamp but that hasn't yet been tried to my knowledge. (Notes: Not all computers with Windows 7 will run Virtual PC because of different models of internal processors. The software will run on some but not all Vista computers. Vista is problematic. The software is not recommended or guaranteed for Vista. For more on Vista, Windows 7, and operating systems in general, click here. For help with computer questions, or even the option to get a computer with the software already installed and ready to run, contact seller.)
See figures below for examples of computer screen views.
* The ECG monitor on the computer screen and various output can be projected to large screens for presentation and educational purposes.
* The CD includes extensive, clearly written manuals (in several languages) on all aspects of the system.
* The recorder operates with a standard 9-volt battery of the kind that are available everywhere.
Included with each system are the ECG recorder with connectors for any type of electrode (tab, snap, or banana plug), software and operation manuals CD, a newly written set of instructions for installation and operation, a USB connector and its driver software CD, new battery, and two new, unexpired packages of adhesive skin electrodes (100 electrodes per package). Additional items are available, click here and scroll down to "additional options" (for getting an optional computer to go with it, please contact seller).
This is a group project that originally developed as a university student biomedical engineering society project with proceeds divided among participants who are doing the work, including the one with the reconfiguration development and design intellectual property and a private investor who helped purchase the units to be reconfigured.
For background on the recorders and software (originally developed in the Netherlands then acquired by WelchAllyn) along with a description of the reconfiguration of the output system and development of our group project, click here.

PHOTOS AND FIGURES, INCLUDING COMPUTER SCREEN DISPLAYS USING THE PROVIDED SOFTWARE:
The CardioPerfect recorder, with reconfigured output cable and clips for electrode attachment. The output cable has a standard 9-pin serial connector which can also connect to the computer through a USB port using a USB adapter that is supplied with the system. The USB adapter is not shown in this photo but can seen in the photo below of items that you get.
Closeup view of the front of the recorder.
View of the computer screen while running/monitoring (continuously displays in real time).
Screen view after recording in standard 4x3 format for the 12 leads.
The system also performs averaging of ECG patterns for each of the leads, which can be displayed with a click of the mouse. The views can be zoomed in for close inspection.
Example of overlay/comparison of two different recordings. The one in black is during recovery after exercise when the heart rate was still high (HR 103) compared to a normal resting (HR 79) recording shown in blue, from the same subject prior to the exercise.
Closeup of the comparative overlay, zoomed in even closer than above, with the electronic caliper used to measure the difference between the peaks of the T waves on lead II.
Table of measurement outputs for all 12 leads, also available at a click of the mouse.
Example of the printed output, including subject/patient data and standard measurements, plus space for comments and evaluations. Comments can be added into the record file and included in the printed output.

Warranty DOES NOT apply to computers running Vista or native Windows 7 only (such as the Starter or Home Premium versions or higher versions without Virtual PC XP Mode; Windows 7 without Virtual PC XP Mode is basically just a glorified version of Vista.) I am willing to consider a money-back return if it doesn't work for someone willing to try it on Apple/Macintosh using a different approach than VMWare-Fusion-XP. (If you only have Vista, Windows 7 without Virtual PC XP Mode, or Apple/Macintosh without VMWare-Fusion-XP, or otherwise for further information on the various operating systems, click here.)
