Bbq smoker grill, kettle style, very large
This is a large bbq smoker, 41" in diameter, 1/4" thick, and weighs roughly 400 lbs. The main grate is 40" in diameter giving you enough room to smoke about 6 briskets, 12 pork butts, or many slabs of ribs and chicken. This is definately large enough to do a competition on. You could also add a second grate at a higher level.
The cooking grate is 18" above the charcoal grate, so you food won't burn if the temperature is in the cooking range. It's a direct heat, which I feel gives you a more authentic bbq as the drippings fall onto the hot coals and provide additional flavor. Works great. The airflow is controlled with a 2" brass ball valve, and an adjustable 6" exhaust. It has stainless steel spring handles, a lid stop, and a high quality thermometer. The hinge is 1/2" steel.
For me, it's held cooking temperature for over 10 hours on about 15lbs of lump charcoal, so there is no need to add charcoal during long cooks.
I'm selling because I want to start a new project.
