The 6120-410 biometric keypad without the lock retails for $721.26, and the 6120-309 lock retails for $235.16, for a total retail price of $956.42.
The S&G Biometric Keypad uses Silicon-based Active Capacitive Sensing Technology which is much more secure and reliable than Optical Sensing. The cheaper and less reliable biometric locks (i.e. SecuRam) use Optical Sensing which can be fooled with a copy or mold of a fingerprint (as seen in every Action/Spy movie).
For the ultimate security, you can choose to require both a fingerprint and a numerical code to open the lock. This level of security is not possible with a mechanical combination lock or a regular electronic lock.
This lock makes opening your safe a lot easier than having to remember codes or dial a mechanical combination. You can choose your own access method: fingerprint + code, fingerprint or code, fingerprint only, code only. Installation and programming is very straightforward and simple.
