Rolyan hip abduction pillow, regular foam
Soft foam pillow designed for individual use to provide hip abduction. Velfoam straps are thread through a slit-in foam to avoid the hassle of the straps being torn off of the pillow.
We generally see these used under the supervision or recommendation of physicians or therapists after hip fractures and/or surgery.
AN ABDUCTION PILLOW is more effective than bed pillows in preventing hip dislocation in patients with hip injury or recovering from surgery such as total hip arthroplasty. With the pillow stabilizing your patient's hip, you can safely turn him.
