We used thousands of these in our buildings we use them two to three layers thick overlapping the joints
WE installed them by putting them between studs that are 24" between centers
And using a drywall or deck screw through them
You can cut them with a saw just butt these together and use a can of spray foam insulation
To seal around any cracks stay warm this winter
they were cut with a cnc router
we do have some fiberglass ones
and we do give some free pieces to each purchaser
