Yes, this is Stainless Steel Restaurant Grade Flatware!
A crest-like handle tip defines this traditional design, styled in 13% chrome stainless.
It is by no means 'heavyweight' stuff, but is is very economical.
That's why more restaurants, schools, cafeterias, etc. use this gauge flatware than any other.
It's very suitable for it's intended use, but not so expensive that you would spend a lot of time or effort trying to keep up with it. It is frequently stolen and/or thrown away by accident, but is inexpensive enough to replace easily.
There are four 'weights' of this flatware sold in the restaurant industry, made by several different manufacturers. Heavy-Weight, Medium-Weight, Light-Weight, and Economy-Weight.
Some of the top makers are Delco, Walco, Brandware, Winco, plus whoever may be the current supplier to SYSCO & US Foodservice... These two distributors market the same flatware under brands "SYSCOWARE" and "Next Day Gourmet" respectively.
18/10 vs. 18/8 vs. 18/0 Gauges...
These percentages simply let you know the percentage of chrome and nickel found in the stainless steel alloy used to make the products.
Chrome is added to help resist corrosion.
Nickel gives stainless a soft, silver-like luster.
18/10 means the metal has approximately 18% chrome and 10% nickel.
18/8 has approximately 18% chrome and 8% nickel.
18/0 has approximately 18% chrome and 0% nickel.
The remaining percentage is the steel...
These percentages do not refer to the weight of the piece.
Weight is judged by the gauge or thickness of the metal.
Heavier doesn necessarily mean better.

18/10 and 18/8 stainless are premium flatware lines.
18/0 stainless is an outstanding value for mainline Foodservice and even home uses...
