This simple, compact instrument offers high
performance at a very affordable price. The
Sentinel I-21 instrument utilizes a gage pressure
transducer and a 21-bit integrating analog-todigital
converter to provide excellent sensitivity.
During the leak test cycle, the microprocessor
reads pressure changes to at least 0.0001 psi and
calculates the resultant leak rates.
Test parameters for up to seven different parts
can be stored and recalled when needed. The
simple pushbutton terminal allows the operator
to easily calibrate the instrument to a master test
part, program and review test parameters, and
output data to a printer or computer. Messages
and stored values are displayed on a 40-character,
alpha/numeric vacuum fluorescent readout.
The multitasking, real-time operating software
makes it easy for the operator to use the terminal
at any time without interfering with a test in
progress. Five dedicated keys on the programming
Timers, Leak, Press, Comm, and
) are used to program or review test
parameters as well as output data through the
communication port on the terminal.
From the operation panel, three dedicated
keys are used for part program recall (
Auto Cal) and instrument selfcheck
