Hardinge hlv-h super precise lathe w/ dro
Hardinge lathes truly are the Swiss watches of lathes. This machine has been refurbished down to each washer and screw. Each and every part was cleaned, inspected, painted and reassembled to its original spec. The following has been done:
-Stripped machine to bare cabinet, sand blasted and painted
-All new precision bearings in transmission
- Reground bed with new Teflon wipers on carriage
- DRO integrated into electrical cabinet, X-Z reset buttons on speed control panel in front of user.
-Electrical cabinet moved to edge so space for DRO is right in front of user.
- Slide out table for collets, I keep collets on a large rack outside the machine
- The switch for the coolant pump was removed. I do not do work requiring flood coolant so I never replaced it.
This machine is a 480v 3-ph. That s a bit much for my residential garage application.
