Electronics hobby kit: 1 channel mains light flasher

Electronics hobby Kit: 1 Channel Mains light flasher 220-240V 700W
Splish Splash I was.. building a flashing kit, duhh
This great kit builds an adjustable rate flashing kit designed to run at mains voltage.
How do you make a mains voltage bulb flash? This kit doesn't use any snazzy chips,
It does however use transistors, SCR's, diodes, capacitors and resistors.
The flash speed is adjustable using a board mounted potentiometer and high power T106D Silicon Controlled Rectifiers. (4A 400V Max)
The kit comes as always with a folded A4 page with schematics of the circuit, a hand drawn picture of what it should look like,
information on building and troubleshooting the kit as well as information on how it works.
The kit is powered from the mains input so no extra power source is needed.
The kit includes all parts to make up the flasher circuit, it does not include any lights, wire or plugs.
Also because its connected to the mains care must be taken (and a small fuse fitted) so its not a good kit for a novice.
(Only for that reason, the design itself is no different from 2 LED flashers)
On the back of the kit packaging is a list on how to read resistor codes, capacitor codes, a quick guide to soldering and information on
the correct way to place components on the board.
This kit is made by Futurekit and is kit number FK113
Questions? Looking for something specific?
If you have any questions about the kit, if it will do the job you wish or if someone at your level can build it then please ask!
and have helped a lot of novices build and get working a wide range of kits.
Our hobby kits are posted by Royal Mail first class mail in a (brand new) air padded Jiffy bag along with a printed receipt.
This is a part time business so unfortunately same day dispatch is not available, I will package your kit on the night and posted the next morning.
If you would like a Recorded signed for service it is available at an extra cost of 75p.
Most of our kits are 25mm or larger before they are packaged hence the fixed "Packet" postage rate.
Please remember that the cost of a Jiffy bag, printed receipt, etc are including in the postage & packaging cost!
Worldwide postage and packaging
Our international orders are posted by Royal Mail Airmail, which has proven to be a reliable and fast postage method for all major countries.
Our kits are posted in air padded Jiffy bags along with a printed receipt (with prices),
We post larger items and "packs" of kits in boxes but for just single kits it adds a lot of weight and cost
and jiffy bags work very well.
Royal Mail Airmail is not a trackable service so I get no tracking number of any kind!
Royal Mail aim for the delivery to take five (5) working days so add a Saturday and Sunday on plus another for me to post it and you are looking at
eight days postage "worldwide", I have found mail to America and Europe to be much much faster, three to five days.
Royal Mail offer a trackable service to 30 popular destinations (Europe, America and New Zealand mainly) which is also normally
1 day faster than standard Airmail but at a cost.. it is an extra 4.50 on top of the Airmail price.
