Take a close look at the picture. These heavy duty brass fittings are made with a third 0 ring integrated into the pex al pex compression end of the fitting. Any other compression fitting we have seen for such application has only two such 0 rings. The additional ring means that much less likelihood of ever having a problem with any leakage. The compression collar is heavy duty and is engineered specifically for the integration of the three 0 rings. All are made of quality brass to ensure long wear, life, and performance! These "T" fittings are utilized in bi pass applications (such as filtration units) and in instances where it is necessary to integrate 1" pex al pex to 3/4" pex al pex.
Why do we prefer these compression fittings over other types of installation
1. First of all the pipe they integrate with is pex al pex, which has a built in oxidation barrier to cut down on oxidation filtration. Oxidation causes corrosion. Enough said.
2. Second, pex al pex has an interior measurement of 1.03 as opposed to standard pex which usually measures less than 1 interior. The difference? Pex al Pex conducts substantially more btu s through that diameter than can the standard pex pipe.
3. How about those easy to use biting fish like fittings that are advertized? Well they are light weight to say the least, rely on plastic that is integrated into the fitting, and have yet to stand the test of time that true brass compression fittings have. Plus take a look at the diameter of the passage through the opening of those fittings and then decide if you want that type of restriction in your installations. The compression fittings are built to maximize flow for the pex al pex pipe that you will want to use.
4. Why not a crimp fitting? Well crimps are ok if you are an installer that has the special tools needed to apply them. This is usually not the case for your average do it yourselfer . Plus the crimping tool is expensive. You also can t recycle the crimp fastners for use once again as you can with the compression fittings. Yes, you can reuse and reapply the compression fitting and all you need to install them is a standard old wrench that every home has in the tool box!
5. One other consideration is something we learned in the field as installers. Every installer knows that it is rare to run pipe and not get into a tight spot where you just have to put a fitting in. Try installing that fitting with the pex crimping tool! Not so much fun as you struggle to find room to get the tool in place in that tight spot!
When you purchase our fittings you have a full 30 days to return the product in as new condition (meaning you
have not utilized it in any application or damaged it in any way). Send it back to us and we will reimburse you for
