40" mitutoyo electronic height gage 3-column heavy duty
Three column heavy duty Mituyoyo electronic 40" height gauge, #192-608
In perfect working order over the entire range.
Used last in the tool room at the Aradco/Aramco auto plant in Windsor Ontario, shut down in early '09.
Would be great for large casting layout and vertical lathes and such.
Comes with two scribers, one reaching eight inches out from the column.
Etching on the long scriber but nowhere else.
Mitu made these for only a few years.
There is nothing as sturdy and tough today with the huge cast iron base and third column.
Even a $4000+ Mitu, Starrett, or B&S has nowhere near the mass and strength of this gage.
It is definitely a specialty instrument.
