HR series couplers are listed as choices for 1/3", 1/2", 2/3" and 1" format single CCD cameras. The HR series will produce a sharp, flatfield image with objectives that have up to a standard Numerical Aperture (NA) for their magnification. Typically, achromats, and plan achromats have a standard NA . As the NA of the objective goes higher than the standard NA , the image will begin to lose sharpness outside of the center field of view area. The HRP series has been designed to give a sharp, flat-field image with all the objectives including apochromats, fluorites, and research grade plan achromats.
The BMX Clamp is a bottom clamp designed to adapt Diagnostic Instruments' HR, HRD or HRP microscope couplers to Olympus series microscopes that have the photoport that accepts a dovetail flange. This includes the following microscopes:
Olympus BX series (with U-SPT phototube removed)
Olympus CX series (with U-SPT phototube removed)
Olympus AX Provis series (with U-SPT phototube removed)
Olympus BX U-DPT double port (back port only)
Olympus U -TRU phototube - Trinocular intermediate tube
