Dynatronix Excellite 9000D Wafer Plating Tool
The Excelliite 9000D is a manually-operated wafer plating tool designed around a unique, patented plating tank configuration utilizing a lateral movement of the anode and planetary movement of the cathode. The equipment is self-contained, measuring appriximately 40'' left to right x 30'' front to back x 48'' high, with a work deck height of approximately 35'' from the floor.
The tool is designed to plate one side of a wafer, or portion of a wafer. Manual pushbutton switches and microprocessor-based temperature and timer controls are included. DC power is supplied by a Kraft Dynatronix Micro-Pulse power supply.
The tool contains a single process cell (plating cell), fabricated from polypropylene material. The control panel is located adjacent to the plating tool, housing all of the controls (temperature, timer, DC power supply, etc.).
The plating cell is installed such that the top flanges are lower than the surrounding console. This is designed to prevent spilled liquid or splashing off the edges of the tool.
