General: The MARS Mini 2 is currently compatible with the Roll Film Carriers RFC 15A/15M and the RFC 21. With this compatibility, a full range of Minolta readers/printers can easily be interfaced with the MARS Mini 2, for quick retrieval of microfilmed information.
With the roll film carriers using off-gate blip detection, the MARS Mini Controller 2 supports dual level retrieval for A Channel searching. In addition, the MARS Mini Controller 2 has an odometer retrieval mode to aid in the retrieval of non-blipped film. A standard RS232C computer interface is incorporated for plug and play access to Computer Assisted Retrieval systems. It also has a 256 byte on-line memory enabling memory functions to be incorporated in the frame retrieval process.
